Name: Lazuli Veterni

Nickname: Pandora

Gender: Female

Age: Appears to be 18, but is really 1156.

Height: 5'6"

Hometown: Cyuvari

Hair: Ivory. Long enough to gently sweep at her waist, very modest and lady-like for the time period.

Eyes: Pale powder-blue

Species: Demon

Profession: Princess/Assassin.

Clothes: During the day, she resides in the castle, unable to break away from either her duties as a Princess, her Red Cobras, or her father. In this time, she wears simple, yet elegant dresses, normally in powder blues and whites. Dark colors convey death or mistrust to others so she keeps to the lighter, more feminine colors.

A crown rests atop her head, and her hair is usually left down. Delicate white gloves cover her long, thin fingers and stretch to her elbows, studded with a small sapphire at the hem. One gold bracelet encircles each wrist.

When in public, she will sometimes wear a white cape and carry with her a gold and sapphire staff. It is much like a crown in the eyes of the public; signifying that she is the Princess.

Assassin's gear: Over her eyes lies an old, white-velvet mask that she will wear to conceal the fact that she is Cyuvari's princess. Her outfit is a simple set of black pants and a elbow-length sleeved shirt. Bone-and-steel made leg guards are strapped to her thighs and shins; matching arm guards are strapped to her forearms, extending just past the elbow to be used for a sword and knife shield if needed.

All loose objects are either tied down or simply not worn in the even of a needed escape, nothing will give away her position or be grabbed. Her swords are simply belted at her waist, or sometimes on her back.

Accessories: A crimson ribbon that she wears around her neck, a small, ebony crown that's nestled a bit off center atop her head, and a gold ring on the fourth finger of her right hand.

History: Born into Cyuvari's royal family, Lazuli lived in total solitude. She grew up around the smell of blood and the sound of violence in the city streets. Her mother was rare, kind and loving; while her father was cruel; always training her to the brink of exhaustion. He constantly expected too much from her and punished her cruelly if she so much as stumbled. For each mistake, she received fifteen lashes. No matter how small that mistake was.

Under these conditions, she learned fast and reacted faster. By a young age, she was nearly fully trained; fleet-footed, sharp, quick reflexes, grace, and strength.

Everything she needed to survive in the Godforsaken city that she resided within. Not long after her training completed, the Annual Demon's Ball fell; one of the only nice things in Cyuvari. A Masquerade ball to honor their God's and Goddesses'. This was the very first masquerade that Lazuli had ever attended. By this time, she looked to be around thirteen years of age yet her power could rival many people's.

Standing beside her gentle-eyed mother's throne, Lazuli held her head high; Her white and blue dress sweeping the floor, blue eyes sparking beneath her white mask, and her pale hand hands clasped in front of her. A portrait of royalty. Her mother, Velvet, sat forward around this time, glancing at her daughter. Lazuli looked to the woman, curious as to what she had to say. The woman sat back again, training her eyes on the dancers; but she soon asked a favor of her daughter. Lazuli nodded and turned, heading back into the royal rooms to retrieve the ruby necklace that her mother had asked her to get.

Her lovely gowns sweeping behind her, Lazuli made her way down the palace halls. She passed very few; mostly servants that she knew. But there was one person that she did not recognize. She paused, turning to stare at the cloaked figure's back, blue eyes curious. He seemed familiar to her, but she had no idea his name or how she knew him - She was never allowed outside of the Palace's walls. A frown touched at her lips, but she soon shrugged and turned away; back to what her mother had asked of her.

Right as her fingers touched the doorknob to Velvet's room, A scream echoed through the emptied halls. Stunned, Lazuli lifted her frightened gaze to where it had come from. The thrones.

An image flashed though her head. That man. The one she had passed. Her mother...

Her mother...

"Mother!"

With a practiced grace, Lazuli kicked off her diamond studded heels, lifted her skirts and raced down the halls. She reached the thrones soon enough, only to find her father, the King, on his feet and staring down at her mother's lifeless body; a look of horror upon his face.

He was frozen and the assassin was still there. Lazuli spun around, blocking the hooded man's way. She heard him snarl, but he made no move to kill her. Instead he lifted his gaze to the King, back to her, then spun on his heel and left.

After her mother's funeral, Lazuli sat in her room for weeks at a time; never speaking, hardly eating. Her father had become even colder - ignoring Lazuli's presence completely.

After a few months of complete solitude, she began to leave the castle walls during the day. She would wander silently around Cyuvari - blending in with the crowd. At night, she began to train herself in the way of the assassin. And secretly, she took up missions. Lazuli killed many of Cyuvari's worst scum without so much as thinking about the blood that stained her hands as she returned home.

Her actions began to be whispered around the dark city; no one knew who she was or what she looked like. But she had caused such a chaos among the thieves and so the nickname "Chaos Queen" began to trail around the streets. But that soon morphed into the identity: "Pandora."

Not wanting to be recognized anytime soon, Lazuli began to wear her only mask; the one she had worn on the night of her mother's assassination. A few specks of blood stained the velvet, perfect for the role she played.

A few years passed since then and now the disguised princess still roams the streets of Cyuvari. But she does not always return home to the castle anymore. She will wander from town to town, taking up missions as an assassin. But even if she is in a different city, she still wears the white velvet mask.

Personality: She is relatively quiet, having grown up a female in a royal house. 'To be seen and not heard' Though she is a very assertive ruler and at times a smart ass. Loyal through and through, she expects the same from her Cobras and all other staff or friends. She is intelligent and infuriatingly patient. Very independent, but also very wary of others. She normally doesn't play well with company.

Abilities: Having been trained by her father, she knows and can duplicate each of his many, many tricks. With long legs, she is very fast and extremely agile. Daily she can be found out on the training grounds with several of her Cobras. This is to keep up her strength in case of war. She is also very psychic and perceptive to another's age and power.

Demonic Form: She loathes every bit of her demon form. Though still very humanoid, there are some features about her that don't make you doubt that she's a demon. And a powerful one at that.

Her skin lightens to a pure-white, and her spinal cord is prominent in knobs on her back. Vibrant, almost neon-red markings mark her forehead, and the left side of her face, almost looking like claw markings. These odd shapes continue down her chest, stomach, and legs; shimmering on her skin.

Her hair stays its pure ivory, but two smooth, red horns curl from the crown of her head. Her eyes bleed black, losing all of the sapphire blue and white. There is no pupil; nothing but black.

Her canines extend, and she forms small, razor-sharp talons. Her body gestures have changed as well, she tends to go by smell, not sight, as well as walking on the ball of her feet.

But she almost always refuses to use this form. Though it is her most powerful.

Weapons: Forged just for her by the palace's best blacksmith, two abnormal katanas lie at her left side, loyal through and through. With its navy-blue metal and hand-carved ivory handles, these two swords are a bit longer than the usual length, and a lot thinner; giving it an almost delicate appearance. But, these blades had been made with the use of her blood as well as her strongest Red Cobras; the elixir had carved blood-red veins into the metal, glowing when put to use. There is no mistaking the power that lies in the sword.

Quick RP:
The night was dark, but the streets were filled with life. If you call thieves and scum 'life'. It was always like this on the cloudy or moonless nights. It left a lot of work for Lazuli to do. The white-haired girl slunk through the shadows along the back allies. She avoided the gazes of many as she moved through.

She glanced around her, making sure no one was watching and darted across the filthy stone alleyway and up the side of an equally filthy building. She made it over the top, crouching low and out of site. She padded to the other end of the crumbling building and across a wooden plank that lay suspended between the building she was on and the next.

From this building, she could see the hidden black market, but she ignored the familiar site and dropped through a hole in the roof.

Landing with a soft 'thump', she stood with a feline-like grace, taking a look around. A man glanced up at her, his red eyes glimmering in the inky blackness of the room.

"I was starting to wonder if you were going to make it tonight, Pandora." His voice was low, a whisper almost snatched away by the night.

"I never miss a night, Valon." Lazuli stood to her full height, glancing at him. "Who am I going after tonight?"

Valon smirked, lighting up a candle. He was standing behind a dilapidated counter, but soon circled around it, holding the candle next to the wall so that the light gave away a picture. "Him."

Lazuli gave a sharp nod before she disappeared; the candle being snuffed out as she left.
